After School Enrichment
Art Explorers comes to your child’s school at a regularly scheduled day-of-the-week. The program is completely customizable. Each after school session is typically 1.5 hours long.
We will share a brief lesson on the focus artist. Then we'll jump in to do a hands-on project reflecting the artist’s style, using various art media to express ourselves. Learn how to work with your “happy mistakes” and understand there’s no “right” way to be an artist. Explore different aspects of art such as shape, layout, and secondary color. Learn how to shade items so they look three-dimensional. Create a tree in the impressionist style of Monet. And put elements together to make a more interesting art composition. Each student will take away a packet of beautiful art, much of it frame-able, at the end of the session.
